Here are some links to fun sites for Automotive enthusiasts.
Furrin Group: Founded in 1954 for drivers of those "gosh-durn Furrin' Cars", the Furrin Group is still going strong as one of Michigan's popular car and motorsport enthusiast clubs; Foreign cars not required. The Furrin group is active in a number of amateur motorsports: Autocross, Ice-X, Rally-Cross, TSD Rallies, etc. This is a laid-back and friendly group; very "first-timer" friendly, so don't hesitate to come out and see what it is all about. Autocross videos here in our VW and Porsche Restoration galleries are from Furrin Group events. FG has a facebook page as well.
The Good Volks: A local Michigan VW club with a number of events each year, including events at the US 131 Motorsport Park. You haven't lived until you watch stock VW vans drag-racing! Really, this is a great group of friendly folk, all willing to chat and help.
Final Gear: A website dedicated to discussion of Top Gear and Fifth Gear shows.
Jay Leno's Garage: Youtube channel dedicated to cars in motion. Some amazing and incredibly rare stuff here. Well worth a watch.
Chris Harris on Cars: Youtube channel dedicated to cars and motorsports.
Inside Sim Racing: Racing Simulators are big and popular. Top sim-racers are now moving successfully to real-life racing and are winning at some of the highest levels of motorsports. Racing games are available for people wanting a fun arcade-like experience all the way up to hard-core sims with increasingly realistic physics.
The Alpine A110: Because everyone should see the car that won the very first World Rally Championship in 1973...
